The Wilder Side

(Exhibition)

Client

Spritmuseum

The Absolut Art Collection at Spritmuseum contains more than 850 works of art from about 550 artists, created during the period 1986-2004. It is a colorful, multilingual, in-the-know – and at times, naïve – collection. But what unites the works of art is that every image or object portrays the iconic Absolut Vodka bottle. The artists were given free hands with few restrictions, and surprisingly many looked to the animal kingdom. A selection of these pieces were exhibited in Absolut Art Collection – The Wilder Side throughout the spring and summer of 2018.

We were tasked with capturing the fun and eclectic theme in a set of posters and exhibition graphics, with a custom key art drawn for the exhibition as the main focal point. The colour sceme is vibrant and eye-catching, inspired by some of the most beautiful but venomous little critters of the animal kingdom, paired with more classical animal cues such as leopard print, and fur.
